General Entry Requirements

You are normally expected to have successfully completed an honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and have appropriate work experience. You may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.

Additional Criteria

  • As well as an Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, you must have a previous HE7 qualification in Accountancy/Financial Management comprising a minimum of 90 credits.

Aims of the Programme

The principal aims of the programme are to:

  • develop an advanced knowledge and understanding of accountancy and financial management and leadership

  • improve professional practice through a challenging programme of study which supports critical self-awareness

  • stimulate creative thinking and enhance problem solving and decision making techniques

  • develop sophisticated intellectual capabilities of research, critique, synthesis and innovation, culminating in a masters’ level dissertation in accountancy and financial management

Programme Structure

Students will study 90 credits at HE7 to be awarded the MSc in Accountancy and Financial Management. Research Methods for Accountants at 20 credits will prepare candidates for the 40 credit Dissertation. The subject specific module will be Strategic Business Leader for 30 credits.
