We are proud to be one of the few institutions here in the UAE offering UK qualifications as well as a proper University experience. Â Sharing the site of the AURAK campus here in RAK, our students enjoy the facilities such as Student Study Area/Library, Student Common Room and Dining Area. Â There are also ample parking.
Once you’ve started with us we hope you’ll find your way over to the Hooke Centre, you’ll be able to get delicious food at reasonable prices, eat your home brought lunch or just have a game of pool with your classmates (NOT during class time please!!)
There are CCTV cameras around the place to keep you guys safe and for the detection of crime, don’t get paranoid or flash selfies, we’re just letting you know in case things get out of hand! You know there’s always someone who has your back.
There are on site student hostels for those studying away from home, which are beautifully furnished and available at very competitive rates. You can find out more about those on our accommodation page.
We also share the sports facilities with AURAK and this comprises of the Gymnasium, Auditorium/Sports Hall, all weather pitches and sports field. Our students have access to these facilities at specified times and our inter-collegiate competitions and cultural programmes take place both on/off site.
We have Student Council elections each year and look to the Student Council members to arrange the social events and awareness raising activities for the campus.  Student Council events are open to all students, regardless of the institution you are studying with – so get involved and build lasting friendships
Each student is assigned a Personal Tutor who will conduct one to one and group sessions throughout the year. Â The purpose of these sessions is to provide an open forum in which students can voice any concerns and get additional advice or support. Â We also have an onsite Student Counsellor who provides a non-specialist sign posting service for anything outside of our faculty expertise.
If you prefer to speak to one of our more senior students, we are able to set up a student mentoring/buddy forum which may just help you through a tricky time.
Please ask for help if you need it – there are plenty of people around to support you.
