General Entry Requirements

You are normally expected to have successfully completed an honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and have appropriate work experience. You may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.

Additional Criteria

  • Normally, you should have at least a lower second class honours degree (2.2) in an engineering-related subject

  • If English is not your first language you will need to complete a Secure English Language Test at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent with no less than 5.5 in any band

  • Your application will also be considered if you have alternative equivalent qualifications with extensive relevant work experience

Aims of the Programme

The principal aims of the programme are to:

  • Provide students with industry standard experiences in advanced production and management techniques

  • Provide students with an understanding and experience of how industry will adapt into a digital based future

  • Allow students to experience the industrial disruptive area of additive manufacturing

  • Develop students’ capability in the exploration, critical analysis and evaluation of complex management and engineering problems

  • Enable students to gain a deeper understanding of research in the discipline through work-based projects and a dissertation

  • Develop students’ capacity to adopt strategic and creative approaches to research, problem-solving and decision-making

  • Support students in the development of a critical approach to the analysis of data and published research

  • Prepare students for future employment, industry-based research and if required, doctoral level study in the field of Engineering Management

Programme Structure

The programme comprises of eight 15 credit taught modules and a 60 credit masters project. The total programme is of 180 credits
